“I really wanted to love this podcast—based on the description, it’s right up my alley. However, the hosts don’t really seem to have a grasp of the topics (or historical periods) before they record, as evidenced by their frequent wildly incorrect musings that they then amend by reading straight from Wikipedia. The audio is also an issue—dramatically shifting volume levels between speakers in some of the episodes leave you stuck rapidly alternating between straining to hear and having your ears blasted out. Better preparation and an extra mic would put this on my weekly listen list, but as is I just end up frustrated partway through. Gave it several episodes to hopefully improve before I ultimately stopped listening.”
