The U.S. Federal Reserve has slashed interest rates by 25 basis points, to a target range of 4.5 percent to 4.75 percent.

Official data shows China's foreign trade expanded 5.2 percent in the first ten months. Import and export volume reached 36 trillion yuan, about five trillion U.S. dollars.
