“The topic and pacing seem good, but I couldn’t get past all the NOISE. There are constantly 2-5 sounds competing at once, from the narrator to music to sound effects. It’s like they just paid for the deluxe subscription to Chintzy Foley Library and want to get their money’s worth. We do not need extended fax machine noises when you mention a fax machine.
The best part was when the host repeated everything an interviewee just said because she thought the noisy congregation made him hard to hear. 1. He was actually not hard to hear. 2. If you feel you have to repeat everything verbatim, don’t waste our time on the clip. 3. You are aware that background noise can be distracting and detrimental? Hmm, that’s interesting. Seems like a concept you might apply to... YOUR WHOLE PODCAST?”
