“I am a Christian and grew up in a similar setting. I also came to a similar conclusion about spiritual gifts as I feel that true spiritual gifts do not look like these extreme things - but these extreme things distract from the true message of Christ. Also the stat shared - something like 80% of evangenlicals leaving the church by 18 - astounding! But honestly, I can see this happening if there is not a church focus on biblical literacy and having an atmosphere of confronting doubts and skepticism head on. Absolutely loved hearing her stories and first hand account, as I have many similar stories.”
