The Premier Podcast for Heavy Board Games
An excellent podcast for discussing heavier boardgames, primarily euro in root and design, Heavy Cardboard focuses not on the rules of a game bur rather how the game functions and emerges over play. Filled with great insights, witty banter, and gaming repartee, HC is presented in a laid-back fashion with two hosts who clearly enjoy playing. HC is intensely listener focused and the hosts are continually engaging with listeners through twitter, Facebook, a website, and a very active Boardgamegeek guild community. The guys are never shy about answering questions, discussing topics, and supporting fellow gamers through events and occasionally loaning games. HC gets my highest recommendation.
