“I listen to dozens of podcasts, but I try to limit myself to 1 or 2 per category. Heavy Cardboard has made the cut as one of the two board gaming podcasts I listen to (the other is SU&SD).
While other podcasts tend to fawn over games in a geeky way, or ramble on for hours as if they forgot they were recording, the HC guys actually have focused, interesting discussions about the games they play.
Prior to listening to this podcast, I considered myself more of a light to mid-weight gamer. But the Heavy Cardboard guys have inspired me to throw away my floaties and jump into the deep end.
Their interview with Joris and Jeroen led to me pre-ordering Food Chain Magnate as soon as I saw it was available, so now I’m looking forward to my first Splotter game. Thanks guys.”
