Terrific Technical Analysis
Heavy Hands is simply the best MMA podcast for striking enthusiast. It's free from the fluff and speculation of other podcasts and just gets straight to the meat of the game. I feel like too often the combat sports media spend the bulk of their time discussing the implications, circumstances, and story lines of the upcoming matches without much in the way of actually analyzing the match-ups from a technical perspective. Heavy Hands is primarily the latter and fulfills an under-appreciated role in the realm of MMA podcasts.

These guys dissect MMA in a technical manner that is still well-designed and simple enough to appeal to the casual fan (like me) who knows very little about the ins-and-outs of martial arts

It's a great podcast. MMA fans looking for technical analysis should definitely check it out. Connor is one of the top two MMMA analysts in my mind, so he's definitely worth a listen. And not to leave out guests! They're great too. I'm just more familiar with Connor.Read full review »

The only MMA podcast that regularly discusses the nuts and bolts of competition: technique, strategy, and tactics. Connor and Patrick are the best authorities on striking today. No long diatribes about over-saturation, Dana White’s blackjack game, or fighter pay here.
