iPod - Inside the Artist's Studio - Mad About Dancing: Reflections in the Wall of Solace
Description
Explores the world of movement with Modern American Dance Company. The original dance, Reflections in the Wall of Solace, inspired by loss of lives from the 9-11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center buildings is discussed. Recorded live from the Touhill Performing Arts Center, HEC-TV's Tim Gore is joined by Stacy West, MADCO Artistic Director and choreographer/professor of Dance from Queens College, NY, and the MADCO company dancers for an active discussion about incorporating emotion into dance. Conway Elementary School's 5th grade participates in activities and contributes thought-provoking questions for discussion. This program was partially funded by the Missouri Arts Council.
