As tensions grow in the mansion, Chevalier starts to think that Emily won’t be able to control her abilities. After putting his conscience aside and doing something against his nature, Emily comes to a realization and understands how to somewhat control the ability to turn a heku to ash.
The truth of the training finally comes out, and Emily is left with resentful feelings. What she thought was a kind heku trying to help her control her abilities, is really a heku bent on her joining his coven and moving into the explosive world of the immortal.
