Description
In this week's episode of the Her Promise Circle Podcast, Michal shares her journey into a new season—one that is very different from the episodes where she previously struggled with mental health and spiritual overwhelm. She opens up about the spiritually mature perspective on suffering, comparing it to Jonah's time in the whale—a place of darkness where life's direction feels uncertain. However, she now understands that suffering is often where God forces us to trust Him entirely when we can’t see the way out.
Michal also addresses the challenge for those who are used to relying on their own strength and find it difficult to surrender to God. She emphasizes that this surrender is exactly what God is asking for. Through suffering, God shakes us, leaving behind only what truly belongs in our lives. Michal encourages us to stop settling for "good enough" and instead cultivate the faith for the "exceedingly and abundantly" that God promises.
Tune in for a powerful conversation about spiritual growth, surrender, and how suffering confirms that God is working everything out for our good.
