“The Philosophers Stone actually was capable of granting prolonged life. It didn’t bring one back from the dead. Hence why Dumbledore’s friend Nicholas Flamel was so old. Once the stone was destroyed Flamel died. When Harry faced Voldemort, he knew that in order to defeat him he had to die in order to sever the final connection between them, which was what made Harry the last Horcrux. The only reason Harry came back to life was because he had the Resurrection Stone with him, which was a tiny stone that would bring you back from death. The Philosophers Stone was only in the first film/book. Harry had seen his loved ones that Voldemort had killed once before when their wand cores connected via their spells. The books and movies diverged from each other pretty early on. Just thought I’d clear something’s up.”
