Valerie is also the author of ten books including I Am Still Your Negro, Eight Step Recovery: Using The Buddha’s Teachings to Overcome Addiction, and First Aid Kit for the Mind. She is the Co-Founder of Eight Step Recovery, an alternative to the 12-step program for addiction.
