Ramble On
While I respect his intelligence and the interest the host has in his subject matter, I find his podcast difficult to listen to. I have tried several times, and even attempted the most recent episodes, but his rambling conversational style is unbearable for me. He often ends up using twenty or thirty words where only seven or eight are necessary. I prefer a well-researched analytical approach put together by someone who thinks before she writes and edits before she reads. This podcast is more akin to listening to high school student present a book report in front of a class.

More reviews of History of Germany Podcast
I like all his podcasts, but after 2 years I don't understand how this podcast hasn't become more polished. The podcast has no direction. It's like it's being made up on the fly. Still hoping and waitingRead full review »

Travis makes the history of Germany before the 20th century super accessible and fun for English speakers. I also like how he describes some of his own experiences growing up in Bavaria. Looking forward to more episodes of later medieval Germany!
