Unlistenable
A pompous narrator Delivery in the same cadence as every late night comedian Breaking off the narrative to editorialize and ask silly questions (why would an island surrender to Persia which didn’t have a navy? ) If Herodotus is such a bad source that you have to interject how bad of a source he is in every podcast why not just lay out the problems with him in your introduction episode it would have made the narrative more fluid and enjoyable.
