Starting off in his own band Kajammin, he opened his own studio in Richmond where his first rap client was a young Master P. Helping P develop his sound over the years, K-Lou became one of the in-house producers for No Limit Records during its inception in Richmond and its relocation to Louisiana after Master P's explosion on the charts.
