Curiosity Brings Life, Not Death
We always hear about how curiosity killed the cat. In some situations, ignorance is bliss, but not this time. Holy Curiosity is a necessary podcast in this social and historical moment. There are many teachers that stay away from the hard parts of the Bible and just camp in the comfortable and easy places. Or they don’t truly understand how those hard parts are truly redeemed by Jesus. Kat dives into the hard like a seasoned swimmer, going right into the strokes that propel listeners forward and guide them to the redemption finish, which is Jesus loves people, every single one. There is no waste, only fulfillment, in God’s plan. The subject matter can be rough, and Kat alerts listeners, but also invites them into deeper study and safety. Kat also interacts with her guests in her own state of awe and reverence for their investment in teaching the Bible. She lets them be the experts, even as an experienced teacher herself. Humbly, she talks, asks questions, and praises those she interviews, which is a relief from too many voices talking over each other. I’m not a huge fan of podcasts, as some feel like sitting in a lecture hour with Charlie Brown’s teacher, but I’m glad I started listening to Holy Curiosity. My curiosity is definitely piqued 😁😉
