Imagine Christopher Nolan took a stab at telling Bible stories
Holy Ghost Stories retells some of the moodiest, most dappled, spookiest and loveliest of the Hebrew scripture’s stories. What’s it like? Well, listening to one the other night I couldn’t help but feel like I was watching Ocean’s 11. Other episodes give me 1917 or Wonder Woman or Slumdog Millionaire vibes. So, maybe the best word to describe it is cinematic. Justin creates worlds and plunges us deep inside. (Of course, he doesn’t create the worlds. They’re real worlds. The characters lived. The places still exist. The God who wrote the plot still reigns. So let’s say “re-creates.”) You need this podcast in your life. Two reasons: 1. If you’re a child of God, these are your stories. They teach you who you are, where you come from, and where you’re headed. Once you hear them this way you will feel like a boss. 2. Child of God or not, these stories introduce you to God. They give you an up close look at Who He is and how He loves you.

Justin’s style is creatively thoughtful provoking on these stories I’ve heard and known my whole life. I’m halfway through a daily chronological reading of the Bible, so I’ve come across these particular stories recently. Very refreshing!

This is fantastic. Seriously, so good. I just listened to the first episode and had chills throughout! I’ve now listened through episode 4 and the masterful storytelling is amazing.

This is great for anyone- if the Bible has always intimidated you or you have never read it- YOU WILL LOVE IT!! If you’ve heard these stories over & over - YOU WILL LOVE IT! A creative masterpiece. It’s brilliant.
