Good but missing the point
It’s not impossible for people to get un-cancelled but the cancelled often get caught up in being cancelled and miss the point. You have to reckon for what you’ve done, not just apologize. You could also not apologize, stand by what you did/said, and accept whatever comes with it 🤷🏾‍♀️lots do and it usually comes to pass - though you’ll never be viewed the same. Of course she apologized but if you’re going to bother apologizing, explain why you were saying those things in the first place? What was going on in her life, in her family, in her community that she would have been saying white supremacist things as a “joke” at that age and as a person of color at that? Was she saying it to fit in? What’s the reason? You have to speak the truth. People are so mad that they’re getting cancelled that they’re not realistically understanding why. Yes, the kids on the internet take it far when they IMMEDIATELY demand a resignation, etc. (sometimes that’s warranted too) but you don’t HAVE to resign or fire anyone, just speak the WHOLE truth! The cancelled ask for empathy but refuse to truly empathize with the offended and get upset that people have the nerve to take offense to things. But, great podcast nonetheless!

More reviews of Honestly with Bari Weiss
Disappointed. Please don’t edit anything, or add any music. Comes across as censored. Propaganda. Botox for thinking. You escaped from contrived journalism, and seem to be jumping back into it. If you’re more comfortable writing, just read longer versions of your essays.

One of my favorite commentators. Bari has a very reasoned mind. I appreciate having her voice in the world. Keep going, Bari!

Bari Weiss and Bret Stephens should do a podcast together just so we can know what the worst podcast of all time would sound like. This podcast would finish a strong second to that, it’s so excruciatingly bad I couldn’t even make it through listening to the whole trailer.
