“I just happened to stumble across HooDoo & Chill on Spotify, and from the moment I listened I knew that I had struck gold! I have been on what I would call a lonely spiritual journey because I chose to leave Christianity alone and look to my ancestors and spirit guides for my spiritual journey. In doing so, I found Vo Dou and HooDoo. When my practices changed, people around me were not happy, I was called a witch and so on an so forth, needless to say that didn’t stop me. My great grandmother, was a midwife in Texarkana, Arkansas, she was also said to have been a healer. Learning this from my grandmother who is now 92-years, I understood why I kept feeling like I was being called to do something different. Now… my grandma is a devout southern Pentecostal, and at 92yrs. Old, I doubt that will change, so maybe the ancestors have called me instead. I want say many thanks to Seer & Toya for doing this because you have definitely given me a spiritual home.
