“Once again the parcast promotions got me to subscribe to yet another podcast. I really thought I would pass on this one, but then there an episode played on another parcast podcast. It was on Patty Hearst. I remember when she was abducted, and then was she was seen brandishing a weapon at a bank robbery with the SLA banner behind her. Years later I wondered how did she get kidnapped, why did she join them, who were the symbionese, and how did she escape? When I saw the subject of the first Hostsage episode, I was hooked.
This week’s episode on the crisis at the Moscow theatre in 2002 was also very interesting. The history of problem between the Russians and Chechens was thoroughly covered. There were also descriptions of the play that was showing and of various people involved. Each episode thoroughly covers the subject and also has quotes from hostage experts pertaining to the particular incident.
