“The Mormon church has more than 150 BILLION$$. We left the church. It’s fraud. We went without income for months. I have 8 kids that were all school age at the time. I was turned away. We paid tithing thru good and bad times. OUR WHOLE LIVES. I’m 66. We only stopped tithing 5 years ago. Our bishop told me until we had zero money. Zero. And our families completely had zero. Like parents and siblings. The church wouldn’t step I. Until this. I was so crestfallen. I believed what you said. Insurance. Nope. My washer broke. A family member got us a new one. The church never helped. My kids had free lunch. All I asked the bishop for was milk, eggs, etc. I didn’t even ask for money. They have a storehouse. Full of food. I mean tons of food. I was turned away. And after my husband got a new job and I went to work full time we still began to pay tithing. F the Mormon church. Old men who are homophobic. Transfobic and frauds. I have 2 gay kids. I will never ever say good things about the church anymore. And I think the church has to be exposed. Your MIL is lucky. Lucky. The church is stingy. They won’t even pay for janitors. Members clean the church. They have hundreds of billions of dollars. Where did they get that? MEMBERS TITHING. They say it’s from excesss. Ha. Where did the principal come from? Me, my parents, my grandparents, and my great grandparents. Tithing. Anyway I get heated up on this subject. The corporation of the Mormon church is discriminatory and corrupt. In my experience and view. Thanks. Just fyi read the latest policy on trans people. Horrific.”
