A brilliant listen
As a psychologist in a different field I loved this. Tanya is so generous in sharing her insights with the listener... explicitly sharing links to informing psychological theories and explaining key skills used during the therapeutic process such as active listening, formulation and re-framing. I also appreciated the links to evidence about parent/child relationships, which further contextualised her focus on encouraging Jack to not let go of his dad. Loved it. Her unconditional positive regard for Jack shines through throughout (quite rightly!) and you can sense the genuine shift in thinking he has achieved in such a short time.

Loving this podcast and gobbled all episodes in 2 car journeys. So good to have Claudia asking questions for those of us with mercifully less experience of some of these issues. Can Dr Tanya be my friend too?

Everyone should listen to these episodes. At times heartbreaking, but also immensely hopeful. Food for thought in spades.
