My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
I grew up with Westerns. The first movie I ever saw was Hondo in 3-D and seeing the The Magnificent 7 first run in the theatres remains a treasured memory, as was seeing A Fistful of Dollars and The Wild Bunch and many others. Also, I had the benefit of the great era of TV Westerns while growing up,my favorites being Maverick and Have Gun Will Travel. Because of my love of westerns, I’ve searched many times for podcasts on the genre and there is no doubt but that this is the very best. Andrew and Matthew are incredibly knowledgeable and I can’t think of a single episode in which I didn’t learn something new and because of their insights later saw a film that I had seen many times in a different light. Many thanks, looking forward to what you’re planning for 2024.

I love Westerns and, for someone who loves Westerns, there is a lot to love about How the West Was Cast. The depth, insight, creativity and pure fun with which Matthew Chernov & Andrew Patrick Nelson explore the Western movie genre only makes me want to watch more.
