Episode 149 with Hal Herring
Happy Birthday to me! How fortunate that this episode dropped on that day. Thanks Randy and Hal. This episode on politics, public lands, and the outdoors was outstanding. It should registered as a national treasure in the Smithsonian Arts as a “communication of national significance to the culture of our nation.” It’s balanced, focused on science & facts, takes in a wide breadth of perspectives, and addresses controversial topics of relative past, present, & future significance to the people of our nation. I came to the podcast to learn more about western hunting and continue to leave each episode with great value to me as not only a hunter, but an environmentalist, an advocate, a voter, and a patriotic observer to our laws and Constitution. I have never learned more in such a short time and walked away with a greater sense of learning and optimism than from podcast 149. And that includes all 8 years of university study, all the print media I’ve absorbed, and all the hours wasted listening to polarly biased talking heads on TV news. This is a quality program that will surprise you with insights you didn’t know within and outside of the hunting world.
