Episode 18 | Family Deer Hunt at the Farm
Listen now
Description
My wife and oldest son are both aspiring hunters who have yet to harvest their first animal. In the fall of 2020 they both drew rifle deer tags in a unit that has a large alfalfa farm my wife’s family runs. We spent the weekend chasing bucks and living comfortably at a relative’s house…it’s truly the way to hunt with your family. Bucks were seen and shots were fired, so tune in to hear how it all went down. If you’re a newer hunter (or an experienced one just looking to make sure there aren’t any gaps in your hunting game), check out my book How to Hunt: A Total Beginner’s Guide to Hunting Big Game. As promised in the episode, you can see the film that covers both the family hunt from Episode 18 and this awesome archery buck right here. To stay up on everything going on, follow us @latetothegameoutdoors or check out the website. If you’d like to see the film of this hunt, head over to the YouTube channel and subscribe while you’re there so you don’t miss any of our weekly content.
