Description
This week’s multicultural movie review is on Victoria and Abdul.
Based on the book by Shrabani Basu of the same name, the film is about the true story of an unlikely but extraordinary friendship between Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom and Abdul Karim, a tall, handsome Indian clerk.
The movie explores how Victoria and Abdul became very close friends and the Queen's closest confidant and how the Royal family, friends and Victoria's household reacted with controversy to their interracial friendship.
