#1: Skinamarink, Knock at the Cabin, and Banshees of Inisherin - Movie Review and Deep Dives
Description
True 1st episode, come with us and let's make history! We review Skinamarink, Knock at the Cabin, and Banshees of Inisherin.
First up, Skinamarink (2023), directed by Kyle Edward Ball (We cover some WILD theories). Then we have Shyamalan's Knock at the Cabin (2023), and then we finish with Oscar Best Picture contender Banshees of Inisherin (2022) deep dive!
Skinamarink is a dark and twisted voyeur into your childhood house but with a twist.. what if the noises that surround you as you fall asleep to the buzzing of the TV, the light it emits enveloping you, protecting you from the darkness. What if those sounds actually are sinister? What if the darkness is actually hiding something?
Skinamarink is an experimental horror movie by Kyle Edward Ball that will undoubtedly be polarizing, but I encourage you to watch it, experience it at night, in a theater…. And let your imagination run wild.
Knock at the Cabin is Shyamalan's next iteration of cryptic apocalyptic goodness (potentially), so you know we had to see it! Adapted from the novel Cabin at the End of the World by Paul G. Tremblay, M. Knight takes us on a journey to the edge of humanity where you are kept guessing and truly contemplative of the possibility.. is Dave Bautista crazy.. or are he, Ron (Rupert) and the gang actually speaking truth. Is the end of the world truly upon us?
Last but NO WAY is it least, Banshees of Inisherin! Oscar best picture frontrunner and just an all-around brilliant film, The shots were paintings, the acting other worldly, and the writing and language poetry. Watch the movie, take the lonely journey, and see how you feel afterwords. Contender in the upcoming Oscars and we would LOVE for you to join us on our deep dive and movie review!
