Who Moved My Cheese
I have been waiting for this one since the beginning! I worked at a company that was about to merge with another and would be laying off hundreds workers. It was a 100+ year old religiously oriented company where this kind of behavior was unheard of. We were all given this book. Thank you for validating how patronizing, asinine, and terribly written it was, and for capturing the way companies used it to justify their behavior. The message was loud and clear that if you’re upset about layoffs you’re just an inflexible dinosaur, stuck in the past.

Shows like this one make me feel smarter after I listen to them. Michael Hobbes is always so thoughtful and well-researched in everything he does, and I am thrilled to have another way to get more of his thinking into my life on a regular basis.

I love this new podcast by Michael Hobbes. It is delightful, especially if you read a lot of nonfiction books. I followed him during his time at You’re Wrong About over to Maintenance Phase. His analysis always makes me think AND laugh out loud.
