Listen now
Description
We’ve all heard of birthing dula’s; professionals who assist women who reject the dogma of conventional medicine and birth their children at home during a ceremony. Well Death Dula’s are at the opposite end of the spectrum; they prepare the terminally ill and their families for the inevitable. And their goal is to provide a safe space for patients and their families to feel as comfortable about the process of transition as possible.  Death is unavoidable; it happens to the best of us. On today’s episode we introduce you to Alua Arthur: attorney and CEO of Going With Grace, an organization that practices and trains people to become Death Dula’s. “Bringing awareness to Death and Dying.” That’s the goal of Going With Grace. So sit back and listen but you may want to grab a box of tissues with your glass of wine, folks.
