“when i tell you i was SO excited to subscribe to this podcast, i mean i have been a fan of Spenser since his early tiktok days, so i couldn’t wait for this to air.
but like, i’m driving for work and me and every one of my passengers are cringing cause the woman’s cackling laughing is so piercing, it kept hurting our ears. so of course, i turn down the volume down but then i can’t even hear Spenser talk. but i’m like… how can that be? Spenser is definitely not soft spoken. is he just further away from the mic? but that can’t be it either, because i can hear the woman just fine when she’s just chatting at normal volume and you can also see them on video too. both are near the mic just fine.
i mean, i think she’s cool i guess, but her laughing sounded like she kept getting super close and directing screeching into the mic on purpose.
just for reference, my cars volume is always at 11 or 13 on the scale, any louder and passengers may complain. but for this podcast in particular, i had to set it to 24 out of a possible 30 volume just to hear Spenser….. even at 11 volume the laughing still interrupted and drowned out the rest of the sound. …and the woman’s laughter wasn’t cute or anything funny. it was literally just hurting our ear drums. thank god she’s only a guest. i could not do repeating episodes with her.
i also didn’t really like how she made fun of Spenser for “looking like a theatre kid” and then she tried to recover herself by saying “but it’s a compliment tho” and then Spenser immediately corrected her (so politely i might add) and said “i don’t think anyones ever said ‘oh you seem like a theatre kid’ and went ‘oh wow thank you!’” bro exactly! nah, i’m already seeing this woman’s true colors showing.
anyways, i really wanted to like this show. but the ear bleeding cackle directly into the mic was just THAT loud. seriously play it back towards the middle and end. and it’s not just me. every rider i had was a different ride and they all kept asking me to turn it down. they said the laughing part was too loud for them even from the backseat. i was like yea! you noticed that too
like you know how you hear other peoples laughter and it’s just so contagious it makes you laugh. or when you hear children laughing, it’s so precious sometimes. yea, hers was nothing like that. it felt forced. it sounded fake even. like not every time, but definitely 9/10 times. it’s like way more annoying sounding than that Janice girl off of FRIENDS. like it just hurts your ears man. yo. i can’t.

yes 100%. it literally hurt so bad that the rest of the episode annoyed me for the full hour.
like i’m tryna get something out of this. the title is LITERALLY “i’m literally screaming” and being a fan of Spenser means that 1. i know they scream and 2. i was ready for it
like slay.
but this cackle screech is so far beyond screaming. yo, can someone tell her to at least lean back when she has her laugh cue? like even just a little bit. i wanna be able to hear Spenser finish his sentence too.”
