Description
Aphrose feels like imposter syndrome likes to rain on her parade... Not only as a performer, but also as a mother, and as a woman in todays society. We discuss the challenges that come from being a woman as well as a new mom in the music industry, the time she opened up for my all time musical hero, and our beginning days as voice teachers as well as the first time we met. Aphrose, a.k.a Joanna, was one of the members of the original 4 at the school I started teaching at. The original 4 consisted of myself, Joanna Mohammed-Gonzalez, Lizzy Clarke, and Nevon Sinclair. These three, hands down, played a large role making me who I am today. I would not be the voice teacher I am today without them. And I am eternally grateful for all of their support over the years. Enjoy my conversation with Aphrose :) Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
