iNaturalist photos
When talking about pressing flowers and taking good descriptive colour notes for future research, I was also thinking that we can probably help by uploading good photos to iNaturalist, or even ‘Seek’ for kids! (Not everyone has excellent colour vision, so could carry a light-protected Pantone colour-chart (of some agreed upon selection) in the same photo, perhaps as part of a ruler. Is there such a system for photo adjusting? I wonder if Pantone has a certain sample that doesn’t fade or change with time or light exposure. Perhaps a measure of pure non-reflective metal that stays the same over time?
