“I was so excited when I heard Wondery made a podcast about the Falwell scandal, but these hosts ruined it. I’m only midway through episode one, and I can’t even stay focused on the story because the hosts’ insipid jokes and asides, and their grating voices. Hard pass. If I want comedy, I listen to comedians, not whatever these two are. And now that I’ve looked up the Wondery family of podcasts, I see that I have been giving them too much credit. They’ve changed their format and weakened the brand. So much fluff. This is no longer the network of Dirty John, Dr. Death, or The Shrink Next Door. This is what happens when they become a pay-to-listen podcast network; they pump out quantity over quality, and try to cater to the wrong people. No thank you.”
