Tone Doesn’t Reflect the Seriousness of the Subject
The preview for this podcast indicates that this podcast will take a very nonchalant, comedic approach to its story telling. As a recovering evangelical, that makes it a very hard listen. These evangelical leaders use shame, often sexual shame, to manipulate, control, and ultimately destroy their parishioners. Then, we find out that that don’t even apply their rigid morality to themselves. I can’t laugh about that. It’s important reporting, but the approach doesn’t convey the nature of this fraud they’ve perpetrated on America.

Can’t wait for this. Such a great idea to have a spin-off mini-series!

The ads must be getting close to half the show time?

I don’t like the scripted commentary. I think this would be an interesting story without all the story telling . . . and the liberal comments. Does everything have to be political, ugh. Just tell the story.
