Sailesh Naidu is a poet, researcher, and filmmaker and Lamin Leroy Gibba is an actor, filmmaker, and screenwriter. In this part one of the conversation, you get to know Sailesh and Lamin; how they met and became collaborators. Host Nadine, Sailesh, and Lamin delve deeper into what the script writing sessions looked like and how the story formed. Sailesh talks about the importance of the film being in German, and Lamin about the collaboration and interrogations he made throughout. They open up about the funding process and grant writing realities. The duo explains their focus on showcasing the BIPOC talent of Germany.

Lamin Leroy Gibba is an actor, filmmaker, and screenwriter based in Berlin. He studied at The New School University in New York and performing at Classical Theater of Harlem and Lincoln Center among others.
