She is the founder, alongside her partner Adi Barash, of “Yulari Films." Shatz and Barash have made some of today’s most impactful documentaries including their Sundance debut “Garden”, “Diamonds and Rust”, and “The Collaborator and his Family.” They have exploded on the international stage with the astounding 2020 documentary series on Netflix "Lenox Hill." In this episode, Ruthie and Nadine talk about finding her passion for documentary and working/creating with her life partner Adi, about the making of “Garden" and being fully convicted and invested in your subject; they talk about the differences between television and film, between the States and Israel, finding the delicate balance between our human hat and filmmaker hat, the making of Lenox Hill, and capturing an erupting pandemic.
