Gerard was awarded Sir Kenneth Branagh’s Renaissance Scholarship to train as an actor, he later studied screenwriting at the New York Film Academy. From 2019 until 2022, he was an associate at Guildford School of Acting where he taught screen acting on the BA, MA & MFA Acting Courses. His film & TV credits include: Belfast (Focus Features); Go Dog Go (DreamWorks); Where’s Wally? (DreamWorks); Call The Midwife (BBC); The Fall (BBC/Netflix); Vikings (MGM/Amazon Prime); Titanic: Blood and Steel (Netflix); and Hollyoaks (Channel 4).
