Description
The Philadelphia Eagles won their first game in Cincinnati Sunday afternoon in Paycor Stadium and bullied the Cincinnati Bengals during their 37-17 win over the 3-5 Bengals.
After an incredible opening drive by Joe Burrow (26 of 37 for 234 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) that resulted in a Ja'Marr Chase two-yard touchdown reception and used up most of the clock in the first quarter, the Bengals defense held the Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense to a Jake Elliott 39 yard field goal to be up 7-3 in the second quarter. However, Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and DeVonta Smith were getting warmed up.
Hurts led the Eagles on another drive that ended with a one-yard touchdown run to head into the locker room at the half-tied 10-10.
It didn't take long for the Eagles to add another score with another Hurts touchdown run and a 17-10 advantage. The Bengals would answer with another drive as running back Chase Brown hit the end zone with a four-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 17 with a little over four minutes left in the third quarter.
But the Bengals were done for the day as the Eagles bullied them on both sides of the ball. They would get a 45-yard touchdown strike from Hurts to Smith and another 1-yard run for a score from Hurts, with two Elliott field goals to win. This would silence the second-largest crowd in Paycor history as the Bengals struggled to add wins on the field.
