Interesting topic, but….
As someone who learned a lot about the history of my family through both AncestryDna and 23&me, I find this an interesting topic for a podcast. But I found myself really frustrated with Matt with his lack of sensitivity and empathy towards his mother in all of this. In the big picture she had been violated. I felt like they could have possibly done more discussions with experts outside of the dr who saw his mom to understand what the environment was in Ob/gyns in the 70s. But also, the lack of focus on his mother in all of this is off putting. Even if (let’s assume) his mom doesn’t have any negative feelings about the experience- this was really not even discussed at all. It left me feeling horrible for his mother. 😕

More reviews of Inconceivable Truth
Already loved Matt Katz from hearing him on WNYC. Now I love him more! This podcast is so well done and I want all the episodes NOW! Being a 1978 baby from NYC has me extra intrigued! (Though I boringly know who my parents are.) Thank you for sharing your story with us, Matt!

I couldn’t stop listening and binged all 4 available episodes. I was driving all day and then resumed when I got home. Matt is a great storyteller and the content is so interesting. A+++++
