“This podcast is fantastic. I just finished the Salem series and I’m just starting on the Black Sox. These are stories that most know of and have at least a general idea about what happened. But I learned so much from the Salem series! The attention to details and research is superb and it’s still presented in an interesting and entertaining way. I really liked the interviews that were included to get more historical details from different perspectives.
But most of all, I appreciate that these events are put into the social and political context of their time. I have never heard the witch trials discussed alongside the Massachusetts colony charter. The discussion about the fact that at that time there weren’t even really laws due to the uncertain standing of the colony made everything so much more clear.
I could go on, but I’ll just say that this podcast has made me think about a familiar story in a whole new light. I hope there’s a million more topics. Five stars!”
