On the northern side of the north side of Isla Nublar (the other side of the other island) is a volcano that didn‘t exist until it was required in the screenplay. That volcano, despite never showing signs of being anything other than dormant, suddenly exploded, destroying the legacy of Jurassic Park in one fell swoop. What‘s more? The burning alive of the first dinosaur we see, the Brachiosaurus.
