“I had resisted listening to this podcast despite being aware of it for quite a while, fearing it would be a caustic snarkfest like so many other shows about genre properties - but I have been pleasantly surprised. Lured by its crossover with the “Best Movies Never Made” Podcast, I discovered “Inglorious Treksperts” to have a spirit that is jocular and light, and a tone that is sincere and amusing, with insightful guests, and hosts and regular contributors who are more than worthy of their self-dubbed Trekspertise. Mr. Altman has written extensively about Star Trek for three decades (and I’ve been reading him for three decades), and Mr. Dochterman has an admirable entertainment industry C.V. both in and out of the Star Trek arena, as well as possessing the only Gene Roddenberry impression I’ve ever heard. Taken together, “Inglorious Treksperts” is a very rewarding listen, and an example of the kind of podcast I enjoy - people talking with genuineness about something they love.
