“I teach a digital media class and try to find and share engaging podcasts with my students. When I discovered that the official FBI had a podcast, I was so excited to share it with my class. After listening to a few episodes, I don’t see any real value in sharing (or listening) again. There is a serious lack of interaction and primary source engagement. It sounds like interns were given a set of audio records and asked to tell its story. Narrators give little to nothing about the topic, and instead just summarize portions of interviews that they cut to here and there. These interviews are more similar to speeches; with no discourse or regular theme. Too bad.”
