“Intelligent guests and interesting topics become overshadowed by the host and co host’s incessant verbal tics. It’s unreal. The amount of uhh’s, umm’s, and stammering fill at least half of their intros and outros and if that’s not enough, you can count on nick bringing plenty along for the interview portion.
The irony is that this is a recorded medium. At any point they could hit pause, gather their thoughts and speak in a much more coherent fashion. For some reason they refuse to do this.
This podcast is proof that good journalism does not necessarily translate to good broadcasting. Good guests, good topics, but the host and cohost make it nearly unlistenable. It’s a shame because they are very intelligent, but their lack of broadcasting discipline makes them come off as unprepared idiots.”
