Description
Romanian David Popovici is the fastest human in history over 100 meters freestyle. At the 2022 European Championships in Rome, the 17 year old Popovici blasted a 46.86 in the 100 Freestyle to break Cesar Cielo's long standing world record.
Popovici also dropped the hammer in the 200 Freestyle, becoming the 3rd fastest ever behind Michael Phelps and Paul Biedermann. He broke the 1:43 barrier in that 200 Free.
Pop has been coached by Adrian Rădulescu since he was 9 years old. He has done an amazing job keeping his feet on the ground by leaning into the stoics.
“There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power or our will." - Epictetus
