Annke Osthues (b. 1963) is situated in Munich. She is a freelance designer within the field of Industrial Design as well as Color & Material Design, specializing on the medical technology. She performed her studies at the College of Fine Arts in Hamburg, having Prof. Dieter Rams and Prof. Peter Raacke as lecturers. After her graduation she joined the firm Designaffairs in Munich year 1992, where she among other things, became responsible of projects within the fields of medical technology, information/communication technology, as well as transportation technology. Since year is she head of color & Material division within Designaffairs, leading the development and research of color and material concepts. Annke Osthues also gives lectures in design, at the Art Academy Berlin Weissensee, as well as at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne.
