President Mike Hoer and Sister Laurie Hoer share how the culture and religious beliefs affect missionary work in the Taiwan Taichung Mission. They talk about how people will accept Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father but often have problems giving up the previous gods, idols, and other spiritual leaders they believed in. They share how the families of converts also often have a hard time letting their children convert, specifically because of the tradition of ancestor worship.
