Interview with President Emrol Gould—Port of Spain Trinidad Stake—President Gould joined the Church just over 20 years ago, and he recently accepted the call to be a stake president. He speaks of balancing the responsibilities of his work as a computer programmer and project manager at a financial company with his ecclesiastical duties. His stake comprises six wards and two branches, with 2,000 members among a population of 1.3 million people. Trinidad is a multi-racial and multi-religious place, a characteristic President Gould says makes for good interactions and relationships in their culture. The topic of sacrifice is addressed in relation to temple worship, since Latter-day Saints must travel outside their country to attend a temple.
