“I really am interested in the varied characters at play in the story. It brings me back a touch to the Dragonlance days of my youth, but it doesn't feel stolen from there at all. I guess it is just the whole dragon thing. I'm only about half way through, but really am looking forward to each new chapter and . . . more books.
I really like some of the "human" moments where our star deals with words and concepts that he doesn't get in dealing with another character. We all attempt to understand things by context at times and Derek does a good job of expressing how that is unconsciously done and in an amusing way.
Iron Dragons is definitely worth the listen, has good quality audio, and keeps you wanting more . . . oh and it makes me chuckle out loud at times too.”
