Just, thank you!
This is what so many of us need. I remember my GP saying it was unlikely I was ADHD (after my fifth presentation with depression) ‘because I had a law degree’. But I was geekily interested in law and absolute love learning. Despite my qualifications I do an admin job, because I cannot bear to work in a role with responsibility and usually ‘bolt’ before I get promoted. This podcast makes me feel like it is actually okay to be like this. The first guest did resonate a lot, but also not totally as I love spa days and I am not quite as driven as her and I ended up feeling like a bit of a failure for not running a company. However, as they say, ‘when you have met one person with autism, you have met one person with autism’ and that is the same with ADHD - and the point here is that she has worked ‘with’ her ADHD, instead of constantly trying to be someone she is not. So take what you need and there is safety in numbers. To all sisters struggling with this condition, remember you are not alone!
